Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what we do with your data.

WHAT WE COLLECT

When you use MINTED AI, we collect:

• Photos you choose — Face Kit photos, source photos, filter photos, and optional inspiration/reference photos that you select or capture.
• Prompts and generation settings — Custom text prompts, filter choices, pack selections, image counts, model tier, and style settings used to create your requested images.
• App account and job data — Anonymous Firebase user ID, generation job IDs, app version/build, credit ledger data, and purchase entitlement proof needed to process credits and subscriptions.
• Notification data — Device notification tokens if you turn on generation notifications.
• Support and diagnostics — Messages you send us and technical details needed to troubleshoot the app.

HOW WE COLLECT DATA

We collect data when you choose photos from the photo picker, use the camera, type prompts, choose filters or packs, make purchases, redeem credits, enable notifications, or contact support. We also create anonymous job records so your generation can run and return results.

HOW WE USE DATA

• Generate and return the AI images or filters you request.
• Maintain Face Kit, gallery, credits, purchases, and subscriptions.
• Send generation-complete notifications if you enable them.
• Prevent abuse, debug failures, process support requests, and keep the service secure.
• We do not sell your photos, prompts, or generated images, and we do not use them for advertising.

AI PROCESSING AND THIRD-PARTY SHARING

Before AI generation, the app explains what will be sent, identifies the recipient, and asks for your permission.

• Selected photos, optional inspiration photos, prompts, filter choices, and generation settings are sent to Minted's secure Firebase backend.
• Minted's backend temporarily stores job files in Google Cloud/Firebase so the generation can finish and results can be returned.
• Minted's backend sends the selected photos and prompts to Google Gemini API for AI image generation.
• Google processes this data under its Gemini API and Google Cloud data protection terms. We do not authorize Google to use your inputs or outputs for advertising, data brokerage, or sale.
• We require third parties that receive user data to provide the same or equal protection described in this policy and required by App Store Review Guidelines.

DATA STORAGE

• Face Kit photos and generated gallery images are stored on your device unless you choose to generate or sync data.
• Generation job inputs and outputs may be temporarily stored on Minted's backend so processing can complete and your app can retrieve results.
• Deleting Face Kit in the app removes saved Face Kit photos on your device and asks Minted's backend to delete completed-job source uploads linked to your anonymous account.
• Subscription payments are processed by Apple. Purchase entitlement data may be synced with RevenueCat and Minted's backend to manage credits and access.

THIRD PARTIES

We work with:

• Apple — Payments, subscriptions, App Store purchase validation, and photo/camera permission prompts.
• Google Cloud/Firebase — Anonymous authentication, backend functions, temporary job storage, push messaging, and service infrastructure.
• Google Gemini API — AI image generation using the selected photos and prompts you approve.
• RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase entitlement management when configured.

No data brokers. No ad networks. We do not sell your face, photos, prompts, or generated images.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can:

• Delete or replace Face Kit photos in the app.
• Revoke AI data sharing permission in Settings. Minted will ask again before the next generation.
• Disable generation notifications in Settings.
• Cancel your subscription through Apple.
• Request deletion of account or backend data by contacting us.
• Contact us with any privacy concerns.

CHILDREN

MINTED AI is not intended for users under 17. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

CHANGES

We might update this policy. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Big changes = we'll let you know.
